Our Safe Work philosophy applies to our employees, subcontractors, and the communities in which we operate — the SGI leadership team is forthright about their commitment to health and safety.
SGI believes every workplace incident is preventable. This core belief is embedded in our corporate culture and integrated into every aspect of our services. Our safety systems and procedures focus on the hazards that expose our employees to risk.
Safety in design is a continuous process that commences during the conceptual phase of a project and is continuously developed throughout the project as more design information becomes available, as better definitions of the risks are available, and as mitigation solutions are refined.
SGI’s site safety procedures are developed in-house by our safety specialist. These procedures are utilized to develop a site-specific plan to cater to each project’s specific risks. As your owner’s representative, we share our safety procedures and audit tools with our client and their contractors with a goal of collectively working safer together. Safety is primary – not proprietary!
